Established in 1899, the college has made a lasting contribution to the educational, literary, social, and political development of the region. The college was founded during the rise of Indian nationalism, a period marked by growing awareness of education as a tool for social progress and national development. Its establishment was made possible through the collective efforts and generous support of the local community, reflecting their commitment to promoting higher education in North Bihar.
